We are looking for people to join our executive team!

Are you a company looking to build a relationship with the RH Smith School of Business in order to get Logistics students? Think about sponsoring the LTSCM Society!

Though officer elections are still several months semester away, you can still join our executive team by becoming an Officer-At-Large.

What is an Officer-at-Large?

An officer-at-large is a student who attends all events and meetings, assists Vice Presidents as necessary, and provides input and feedback regarding the Society’s events, projects, and operations. Though an officer-at-large is not an elected position, the Society takes this position very seriously.

What are the formal requirements of an Officer-at-Large?

  • Attend Alumni Day (April 28th, 2007) & Industry Day (October 26th, 2007)
  • Attend all LTSCM events barring extraordinary circumstances
  • Attend weekly executive meetings
  • Table not more than 4 hours during the week of an LTSCM event
  • Make classroom announcements during the week of an LTSCM event

What will I gain from the position?

  • You will meet and network with other committed LTSCM students
  • You will gain an inside edge and increased priority regarding LTSCM scholarships, internships, and jobs
  • You will have more opportunities to network with LTSCM Alumni and Industry Day recruiters than other students
  • You will be in better stead to run for an LTSCM elected position
  • You will get to know Professor DeWitt, an LTSCM professor who is passionate about students, has plenty of industry experience as a Vice President of a major transportation company, as well as someone who can open career doors for you…
